Happy CNY!!!

Happy Chinese New Year from the World of Cos to you!!!

This artwork took me awhile to finish, then I realized that there really is quite a number of characters already... but that won't stop me from coming out with new ones, because it's called "World of Cos" for a reason I guess :p

then again, how's your CNY going?? Any interesting things happening?? I'd love to hear from you guys though~ any interesting stories to share, do write it down in the comments section!!

Happy Chinese New Year!!

The World of Cos wishes everybody a Very Happy Chinese New Year!!

nothing much to say about it though, but I'm excited because I managed to finish a couple new artworks in time for CNY~ so look forward to it tomorrow!!!

OH!! and here was the teaser for this picture yesterday... somehow people thought it was a caterpillar... ouch...

either way, a very blessed Chinese New Year to you all tomorrow!!

Animation Tryout

Time to try out something new....

It's been a long time since I've been drawing Cos... and sometimes I had some people asking me:

"Why don't you animate it?"

well as much as I would love to do that... ANIMATION IS HARD!!!! I've tried it out once when I was in high school, but quickly gave up because of the huge amount of work I had to do with it, frame by frame and frame along with another little frame...

But then again... recently was offered a project/job to animate a lesson, of course I still have ZERO knowledge of Animation, but then again... I guess you're never too late to try and learn something new??

So I tried with a simple character, just using Cos, and it took me 49 frames, one hour plus, and a lot of "how ah?" and finally I've kinda made my first animated .gif for a little tryout for the moment...

what do you think??

I know it's kinda random but..... hahaha there's still much more room for improvement~ this could be the start of something new???

Manners, Lesson 5!!

Manners: Lesson 5!! Respect Your Elders

I'm thinking that we're starting to live in a generation where people are beginning to become a bit individualistic, living for themselves and not having a care for others... it could be good if you were to think about it, but in a another way sometimes with a thinking of "I know it all" or "I can Google it!" we might end up thinking that we know best, and that we might have all the wisdom and knowledge that we already need to know...

Thus, often it might just make us wanna brush off the advice from other who've came before us, thinking that they are old fashioned and out of time... but I guess as much as we know, as smart as we already are, we should never forget the advice from those that have came before us. I mean, if it wasn't for them, there wouldn't be us today...

So give your respect and manners towards those who are elder than you~ I guess everyone in this world would love to be treated with respect, make sure you don't leave anyone out of it too :)

Manners: Lesson 4!!

Manners: Lesson 4!! Queing Up!!

learning to line up isn't something Malaysians are proud of, in almost any opportunity that they see fit, as long as there's an opening, they would just slide themselves into that opening space.... kinda rude if you were to think about it...

and this applies greatly in Malaysian road traffic... 

it doesn't matter if you're in a rush, or if your time feels more precious to others, as long as you are going to do something, wait your turn, it won't kill, and it does help you to be a much better person in life....

so learn to Queue Up, and be a much better person today, learn it by little steps of Patience :)

Manners: Lesson 3!!!

Manners: Lesson 3!! Put Your Mobile Devices Aside During Meals!!

not really a life threatening thing, but then it is kinda rude especially during family meals, when people are having a time of eating and fellowship, and there you go playing around with your phones or tablet on the table, ignoring everyone who is there...

either way a dinner doesn't take that much time... just take the short moment of catching up with your friends and families during that short moment. a little short moment of not replying that SMS, or even cleaning that level on the phone won't cost you you're life~

and since CNY is on the way, do take this into note during those family-time :)
